This hand-painted model accurately depicts three of the approximately five million villi that line the wall of the human small intestine. The villi are crosssectioned at several levels to show the circulation of blood and lymph vessels. One enlarged section details the crypt of Lieberkuhn. Other keyed components include the intestinal epithelium, various muscle layers and fibers, and the capillary network. Includes teacher’s guide with key.
