The hot plates are operated using an LED display touch screen and a timer countdown, with a safety lock function and high temperature warning indication. The non- corrosive glass ceramic surface is easy to clean. Both glass and ceramic utensils can be used. Their compact and lightweight design makes them easy to transport and store.

The Advanced model of the Edulab Hotplate has all the above features which are included with the basic model. In addition to the above it includes an external probe. Using this probe the following operation modes can be used in most experiments: High accuracy temperature control in +/- 1°C, Warming setting in 1°C intervals, Temperature indications with an accuracy of 0.5°C
