Description

A sensitive UV photodiode forms the
sensor for this simple UV detector
suitable for quantitative measurements
at UV wavelengths as well as normal
visible light.
The detector is housed in a “wand” so
that it can be placed inside the UV test
rig (XWV 630 010). In use the instrument
is connected to a standard digital
voltmeter which then enables a full
range of intensities to be measured.
Wavelengths in the range 190nm to
1100nm are covered. Power is from an
enclosed 9V PP3 battery.
